Make a Safari Sunset painting with us today for #WorldArtDay🧡
🎨For this project, you’ll need purple, red, orange, yellow and black acrylic paint, paint brushes, and any sized canvas.
☝Start by putting dots of purple, red, orange, and yellow paint vertically down the center of your canvas, in that order, leaving about a third of the canvas at the bottom blank (we ended up filling our canvas entirely-there is no right or wrong!)
2⃣ Beginning at the bottom of the canvas and moving upward, use long back and forth strokes from side to side to blend the colors up to the top.
3⃣ Now create the horizon with your black paint. We used short upward brushstrokes from the bottom of the canvas to mimic grass. But you can be creative here!
4⃣Using your yellow paint, create and fill in a circle in the center of your canvas that lines up to your horizon.
This will be your sun🌞
5⃣ For this step, we used a stencil in the shape of an elephant to create our safari animal. But feel free to use any animal of your choice.
6⃣The last and final step is optional- but we added birds to our painting. You could also add some trees to the horizon. Get creative and be proud of what you make💜
